Cultivating Black

Business Power

The Illinois Black Alliance Chamber of Commerce (ILBACC) serves as a statewide hub connecting entrepreneurs to capital, technical assistance, and advocacy.

Our Mission

The mission of the Illinois Black Alliance Chamber of Commerce is to advance economic equity by supporting, connecting, and advocating for Black-owned businesses and Black-led economic development organizations across Illinois.

Our Vision

ILBACC envisions an Illinois where Black-owned businesses are thriving, competitive, and fully integrated into the state’s economic fabric, driving job creation, innovation, and generational wealth in Black communities.

Empowering Black Enterprise

Strengthening the Ecosystem
We don't just support individual businesses; we fortify the entire infrastructure. ILBACC serves as the central nervous system for the Black business ecosystem across Illinois. By aligning statewide resources and coordinating efforts, we ensure that every entrepreneur has a clear path to success, regardless of their zip code.

Access, Advocacy, & Growth
Growth requires more than just hard work—it requires an even playing field. We focus on three critical drivers of business evolution:

  • Capital & Contracting: Expanding direct access to the funding and high-value contracts that fuel expansion.

  • Policy Advocacy: Working at the legislative level to identify and dismantle the systemic barriers that have historically hindered Black enterprise.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Leveraging a vast network to create collective bargaining power and visibility.

From Survival to Scale
Our ultimate metric is the long-term resilience of our community. We move beyond short-term fixes to provide capacity-building support that transforms the landscape. Our goal is to empower Black-owned businesses to transition from "just getting by" to achieving true sustainability and massive scale, creating a legacy of wealth and opportunity for generations to come.

THE BLACK BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN ILLINOIS IS A POWERHOUSE OF RESILIENCE AND ECONOMIC POTENTIAL.
